A STEAM 3.0 hackathon by WFISD to encourage innovation and engagement.

      March 29, 2019, 8AM - 5PM

    • What is a hackathon?

"Hackathons provide a venue for self-expression and creativity through technology. People come together, form teams around a problem or idea, and collaboratively code a unique solution from scratch — these generally take shape in the form of websites, mobile apps, and robots."[1]

Do I need a team before the event?

You're more than welcome to create a team (no more than 4 people) before the event or pair up during the team match making session (8:15-8:30am).

What skills/knowledge do I need to know before the event?

Hackathons are as much a learning experience as anything else. All you'll need is a good attitude and open mind to learning new things to thrive.

Do I need to bring lunch?

Lunch will be provided by the WFISD Food Truck, free for all WFISD students!

Do I need to bring a computer?
